More than “just another school”, the Australian Performing Arts Grammar School, (formerly known as the Australian International Performing Arts High School) will enable student’s access to a challenging and rewarding school environment where each day is filled with both academic rigour and focused performance training. Surrounded by high calibre staff and a community of passionate students and supporters, APGS offers a supportive environment where students can focus on their chosen streams whilst completing their HSC.

The Australian Performing Arts Grammar School will open its doors in a state of the art, purpose built facility in the heart of Sydney’s education precinct in Broadway, Glebe (pending relevant approval processes). Whilst the school is currently operating at Harris Park, the new campus launch in Broadway is expected to take place at the commencement of Term 2, 2012.

Existing students and teachers from Harris Park will make a transition to APGS in term 2, 2012 when the school opens, bringing with them a solid reputation as a premier Australian Performing Arts institution. Principal Debra Aarons said, ‘APGS will provide a positive, rewarding and enriching environment which will recognise and support individuality, potential and success. The students will also benefit from the school’s new location in Sydney’s art and academic hub, gaining exposure to a wealth of new opportunities for growth and development. I look forward to welcoming students and families who have a passion for performance and a strong regard for academic achievement to join us on our journey in establishing APGS as a school of excellence.’
