Design for Theatre – Props and Sets

Students will learn about the design and construction of sets and props for theatre. In particular, students will work with the use of stage flats, and work on designs such as scenery or sets for APGS Drama company plays for 2019, and the showcase.

Photography

In Photography we offer instruction in both practical skills and theoretical understanding. The program introduces students to several aspects of photographic practice from contemporary digital photography to compositional techniques and the use of Photoshop. As students progress, there is an increased emphasis placed on individual experimentation and investigation, which fosters individual artistic practice

Printmaking

In printmaking we will cover a range printing processes including relief, intaglio and etching. Using with a variety of media, students create a series of images that can include multiples and artist’s books.

Body of Work

In the body of work class students are encouraged to pursue their creativity to their full extent. The teacher is present only in the capacity of an advisor. Student create their own series of work, how they want, using the medium of their choice.
