Curriculum (Years 11 and 12)

In Years 11 and 12 students are offered a broad range of courses to satisfy the requirements of the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA). Year 11 (Preliminary HSC) students are required to study a minimum of 12 units and Year 12 (HSC) must study a minimum of 10 units. English is a mandatory course in Stage 6.

Students choose APGS for their senior studies because they are inspired to pursue a creative education. We will always offer all four creating/performing arts courses for senior study; Music, Drama, Dance and Visual Arts. APGS allows students to engage with their passions while achieving the High School Certificate.  We provide a unique way for students to approach their HSC with integrated specialist training in the performing arts delivered by our rotating staff of performing arts tutors. APGS provides a place for students to engage with like-minded peers and to celebrate their creativity.
